These products are made in Europe. Do they work on Indian & Asians skin?

Makari de Suisse products work well on any type of melanin rich skin. Indian skin type is relatively high in melanin content and thus very suitable for effectiveness of the entire range of Makari de Suisse Skin Whitening and Clarifying products. Makari products are actively used by Asian populations in Europe and the USA. Since there are so many different skin types, results may vary.

The Caviar Face Cream for the face and the Beauty Lightening Milk for the body, are specifically designed to even out skin tone and fade blemishes. The Whitening Exfoliating Soap has super whitening actions that also help eliminate and prevent acne. For severely darkened areas, such as elbows, knuckles and feet the Clarifying Cream is very effective. For heavily pigmented areas on cheeks, chin and forehead the Skin Repairing Serum is the most effective product.

Do the products help eliminate and prevent acne?

The Deep Cleansing Lotion, Whitening Exfoliating Soap are all super deep cleansing products fighting against acne and other bacterial breakouts. Clear Acnyl Face Whitening Cream has been especially formulated to help persons with Acne to achieve lighter complexions while fighting acne It is also important to apply the products gently, in order not to irritate the skin.

Do the products work on Melasma?

Yes, although the treatment can take relatively up to a year long, additional use of a good sunscreen and sun avoidance is essential.

Do the products remove harsh marks, blemishes, liver spots or stretch marks?

Yes. The Caviar Face Lightening Cream and the Beauty Lightening Milk are intended to fade blemishes, spots and marks. Within time, even old blemishes will disappear. Some really harsh blemishes may require the Skin Repairing Serum, a concentrated gel applied to severely darkened areas only.

Do the products contain sunscreen?

Only the Anti UV Whitening Cream and the Day Lightening Cream contains sunscreen. Nevertheless, the whitening products of Makari de Suisse provide protection against UVA and UVB, as they contain many natural antioxidants. Thus, we do recommend using additional sunscreen to prevent pigmentation from forming.

Can the products be used during pregnancy or nursing?

Despite being 100% natural and safe to use, Makari always recommends consulting a physician prior to using any products during pregnancy or nursing.

Is it okay to mix Makari products?

Makari does not recommend using other brand products in coherence with the Makari regimen. Also, it is not recommended to physically mix two products or apply one on top of the other (except for the Skin Repairing & Clarifying Serum). When using two products, apply one in the morning and one in the evening.

What is the difference between the Day and the Night Lightening Creams?

The Night Lightening Cream is more moisturising and mildly oily than the Day Lightening Cream. Some women may prefer using the Night Cream even during the day in winter time, when having dry skin. Additionally, the Day Lightening Cream contains sunscreen. You can also wear your normal make up over the Day Lightening Cream.

Are there any side effects?

If applied as directed, there should be no side effects. Some Makari products contain Caviar extract which is a marine product. In case you are prone to sea food allergies kindly do not use caviar based products. To check if you have an allergy please apply a small amount on the inside of the arm for a few days to check for any reactions, before applying it on the face.

Are the products 100% natural?

Unlike most skincare products, all active ingredients in these products are 100% natural and derived from plant extracts, such as mulberry roots & leaves, lemon leaves, wheat germ, corn, licorice etc. None of our products contain hydroquinone which has been banned by the USFDA. Makari de Suisse’s active Whitening ingredient is called Vegeclarine, a plant derivative. Some products also contain caviar extracts, a unique ingredient that helps lighten and control melanin production and promote new cell growth.

Will the effects remain permanent?

The active lightening ingredients in Makari de Suisse products slow down the activity of Tyrosinase, which in turn inhibits the production of Melanin (the skin darkening pigment). In case you completely stop the use of skin whitening agents then your skin will gradually return to its normal colour. However to maintain the complexion you desire it is important to continue use of Makari de Suisse products by spacing out usage e.g. use them alternate days instead of everyday.

How fast can I expect to see results?

Most people see results between 2-4 weeks, however, depending on the skin type it may take up to three months to see visible results.

Caviar (eggs of the Sturgeon fish) are not only naturally rich in amino acids and essential fatty acids, proteins but also in trace elements and iodine. Caviar is rich in:

What are the Dos & Don’ts while using Skin Whitening products?

• - Avoid mixing two different skin whitening products or apply them simultaneously as their formulae differ and they may compromise the desired effect.
• - Avoid use of products meant for the body on the face and vice versa. Facial skin is much more sensitive than skin on the body and the results may not be as desired by you.
• - Stop using the product in case you notice any allergy or a reaction. Signs of allergy may appear in the form of pimples, very dry skin, uneven whitening effect, rash etc. You should know that irrespective of brand about 4% to 5% of users are prone to some form of allergic reactions.
• - Give the skin a break of 3-4 weeks after continuous use of skin whitening products for 3 months. This allows the skin to rest and rejuvenate.
